Happy #mindFULLMonday Have you ever heard of negative capability? It’s a concept @brenebrown talks about as our ability to stay present in uncertainty — in the not knowing — without rushing to fix, control, or force clarity. It’s learning to be with the questions instead of demanding immediate answers. Lately, I’ve been practicing this by leaving my watch behind on adventures — letting go of time, pace, and productivity, and choosing presence instead. What started outside has been quietly shaping how I move through daily life too. So I’m curious: ✨ How do you show up when things feel unclear? ✨ Do you fill the space… or can you stay with it? This week’s invitation is to experiment with a little more openness to the unknown. Release the need to know what’s next. Stay present. And trust that clarity often arrives when we stop chasing it. Sometimes mindfulness looks like choosing not to measure — and simply allowing yourself to be. (I know in the video I keep calling it negative capacity… I was pretty far into the adventure this time and only listened to the book once 😉) #i💜publiclands

hello and happy mindful Monday out here on another adventure and it's a pretty big uphill adventure that I'm lucky enough that Dan plans most for most of our things and the LaSalle's are back there um yeah I used to need to know everything I wanted to know how far I wanted to know what the elevation was I know so that I could plan because I wasn't totally sure of my body and my capacity so on the way to this adventure I was listening to Bernie Brown's new book strong ground and she introduced a term called negative capacity which I've never heard before but it's the idea it's not that you're staying away from negativity but I think it's more like those negative spaces those spaces that are kind of empty spaces and being okay in those unknowns and it's been something I've been leaning into over the past year as I've tested my abilities both physically and mentally and now I know that there's a term for it and I think that's so cool so I'm leaning into it even more I'm trying I stopped wearing a watch to know how far I've gone how much time has gone by and just really living in that negative capacity space of being okay in the unknowns and I think it's starting to translate to every day so you know what does it look like in my everyday life not just was I'm out here pushing my body but trusting myself trusting my intuition to not have a full story created before I jump into something so that is my long mindful Monday thought for you would love to hear your thoughts on the idea of negative capacity and just share my view with you again the Palisade is right there and then parts of the trident you can see as well and we're heading to the top of this happy week experience life fully and share it authentically
