Happy #mindFULLMonday Wondering who else does this? ✋ Sets a goal…and then immediately starts listing all the reasons it might not work. ✨ Talk yourself out of it before you begin ✨ Decide the outcome before you’ve even started ✨ Lower the bar just in case I found myself calling my massage therapist out on this…and then later caught myself doing the exact same thing. Creating a story about how something might go before I even gave myself the chance to try. Not because we aren’t capable, but because it can feel safer to manage expectations than risk not meeting them. So this week, I’m curious: 👇 ✨ Where are you holding yourself back before you even start? ✨ What might shift if you let yourself begin — without deciding the outcome first? Maybe the practice isn’t having more confidence, but simply giving yourself the opportunity to try. Let’s get out of our own way and see what’s actually possible. 💜

Hello and happy Mindful Monday. I'm just leaving the spa. I had an awesome massage and thought it was really fun. My massage therapist did an amazing job on my body that has been working pretty hard for me lately. And she started to share her goals with, hey, this weekend I want to start, choose more consistency. A whole bunch of times consistently doing more cardio and some weight training. And then went on to proceed and give me all of her excuses why it's probably not going to work out. And I did mention something. I called her out and I said, well, it sounds like you have all of your excuses ready. And she kind of giggled and continued to give me the excuses for why it's not going to work out. So my thought for you, as I'm getting to you with it, is how often do you self-sabotage before you even give yourself a chance? How often do you come up with the excuses, the stories of why it's not going to work out before actually going for it? I think we all do it. And it was just really fun to have caught that in that moment. So I hope that you have a very best week and that maybe you get some fun somewhere, some snow somewhere, whatever it looks like for you. Experience life fully and share it authentically.
