Happy #mindFULLMonday This week, I’ve been thinking about summits. This weekend, I stood on a summit that had eluded me twice before. And as I stood there, I realized something... The summit wasn’t different. I was. The first version of me wasn’t quite ready. Neither was the second. But each attempt taught me something. Each one helped me grow. Each one prepared me for this moment. And I think that’s true for so much more than mountains. We often assume that if we don’t reach our goal the first time, we’ve failed. But what if we’re simply becoming the person who eventually will? As we reach the halfway point of the year, it feels like the perfect time to pause and check in. Not with judgment...But with curiosity. 👇 ✨ Are your goals still aligned with the person you’re becoming? ✨ Is your timeline the only thing that has changed? ✨ Or is life inviting you to pivot toward a different summit? Because not reaching a goal on your first attempt doesn’t mean you aren’t capable. Sometimes it simply means there is more growth waiting for you before you arrive. If your summit is still aligned with who you’re becoming... Keep going. One attempt. One lesson. One step at a time. Because the greatest accomplishment isn’t always reaching the summit. Sometimes it’s realizing that each attempt has been shaping you into the person who finally will! #i💜publiclands

Hello, and happy Mindful Monday here on the top of Mt. Gunnison with Gunnison. This is my third attempt at this mountain, and the first time I've actually ever made it to the summit, so here are the summit views. I'm just thinking about the person I was even six months ago at the beginning of the year. We're now halfway through the year, and the person I am now, and how different that is, and what has allowed me to do things that in the past were really hard, and also thinking about today is the 4th of July, and so we're celebrating America and freedom and all those things, but the reality is, what do we have freedom over? We have the freedom to choose our stories, and we have the freedom to choose who we want to be in this world. My thought for you this week is, are you currently becoming the person you want to be, and if not, what is keeping you from that freedom of choosing to be your best self? I would love to hear your thoughts. Gunny and I are going to sit up here for maybe just another minute, and then start to head all the way back down to town. So, have the very best week, experience life fully, and share it authentically.
